Those who attain wealth attain it under the Will of God, and they are obliged to be good stewards and to share their increase with their brethren.

Charity

Matthew 6:22 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore if your eye should be sincere, your whole body shall be bright. 23 But if your eye should be evil, your whole body shall be dark. Then if the light in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

From Deuteronomy 15:9: “Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee.” From the Wisdom of Sirach, 14:10: “A wicked eye envieth his bread, and he is a niggard at his table.”

So we see that here Christ is telling us to be fair with our brother to justly give him what he is due, to share our blessings with our brethren, and to do so with sincerity.
