Aftermath

Cultural

Long after all of the Israelites who were deported by the Assyrians were gone, the Greeks continued to call the land “Phoenicia”, and the Canaanites who remained to inhabit it, along with whatever remnant of Israelites remained, they continued to call “Phoenicians.”

Dispersions

Isaiah

The later chapters of Isaiah help prove that the children of Israel of the Assyrian dispersions are indeed the Germanic peoples of modern history.

Remnant

An examination of the Old Testament reveals that there were children of Israel who escaped the Assyrian captivity, not taken by the Assyrians, although they were nevertheless cut off from their relationship with Yahweh.

Prophecy

Prisoners

Isaiah 49:9 That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places

The prisoners are the Israelites of the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities.
